Aragon, an often overlooked province of northern Spain. Mountains, barren lands, isolated villages, lush forests, olive groves, waterfalls, and Spain’s largest natural lake (1,400 ha). This lake, a natural salt pan, is the main stopping place for an estimated 60,000 migratory cranes. This 3 day photo tour is a fabulous opportunity to discover the diverse beauty of Aragon and to witness the incredible spectacle of thousands of migrating cranes preparing to take on the next leg of their long journey. Words can hardly describe the amazing sensation of hearing the steady crescendo of the dawn chorus as the light begins to filter through the hills, tens of thousands of graceful cranes congregated on the salt pan preparing to fly to their feeding grounds and the sight of flight after flight rising above us into the soft, misty light. The photographic opportunities are stunning and are limited only by ones imagination. This is another wonderful opportunity to learn and hone the very different skills required for both landscape and wildlife photography. A photo holiday that will suit any photographer who appreciates the natural world, great photography and who wishes to experience one of its amazing seasonal phenomena at first hand.
